1. The deadline to join TSJCL has been extended to February 1st.
  2. Classical Art test will once again be offered as an academic test. This was accidentally left off of the final drafts of Academic Rules.
  3. All Classical Civilization contests will receive a 15 point penalty for entry in the wrong category. The Classical Civilization rules have been updated to fix this discrepancy.

Welcome to the Texas State Junior Classical League!

Bringing Texans interested in the classics together since the late 60s, the TSJCL fosters the study of ancient Greek and Latin topics in the modern age. The TSJCL is one of more than 1,000 chapters of the National Junior Classical League, an international organization that encourages the same activities as the TSJCL. The NJCL is one of the largest student driven organizations in the world, comprised of more than 45,000 students.

We invite you to browse our website whether you are a member of the TSJCL or not. We have many resources available for others studying the Classics. If you are in the state of Texas and your Latin Club is not yet a member, please contact the board to get info about joining.
