Virtual Convention Announcement

With the TSJCL State Convention fast approaching, the State Chairs and Student Executive Board have made the important and responsible decision to transition our State Convention to a fully virtual format. Although some students across the state are going back to school and the news of vaccines are increasingly positive, we are aware that many schools and districts have put moratoria on school travel. Additionally, we are cognisant of the fact  that not every TSJCL sponsor, teacher, student, or parent who might wish to participate in the convention would be confident in their own personal safety at a large in-person gathering this Spring.

The convention’s theme will stand:  Aut inveniam viam aut faciam, I shall either find a way or make one. We as the TSJCL board will also strive to deliver as complete a State Convention as possible with the new format. All dates and activities will be announced at a future date, but we will try to keep events scheduled as close to the previously announced April 23-24 weekend as possible. At this time, we are updating our Convention registration pages at https://my.tsjcl.org/, and the tentative price for convention is $10 per student. Please check www.tsjcl.org, your email, and/or TSJCL social media accounts in the coming weeks for more information.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the State Chairs at [email protected] or TSJCL President Kagan Baker at [email protected].

In the spirit of this year's convention, remember:

We shall either find a way or make one!

Sincerely,

Kagan Baker

TSJCL President
